Hungama 2 (2021) Storyline

Gobind Kapoor (Ashutosh Rana) lives in Himachal Pradesh (India). He is a Retired Colonel. Akash is his son. He is trying to settle his son in his business whose making losses. Akash have four siblings who are thrown out of school regularly due to their mischief. All this things disturbs Mr Kapoor. Only Aakash is doing well in his field, so he wants to engage Akash to his close friend’s daughter. However, a women name Vaani enters their house with a kid. Vani claims to be his Akash’s wife. She accuses former college-mate Akash, as the father of her kid. However, Akash denies all allegations. He agrees he was in a relationship with Vani during college days, but denies being father of the kid. But Mr Kapoor believes his son to the culprit.

Further, Akash tries to prove his innocence to his family. So, he seeks family friend Anjali’s guidance. Anjali (Shilpa Shetty) lives with her suspicious husband Radheshyam Tiwari (Paresh Rawal). Her husband is convinced that Anjali and Akash have an affair. So, he starts to keep an eye on both, Anjali and Akash.

Review

Whats Good in Hungama 2 (2021)?
Ashutosh Rana is the only actor trying to attract the audience back in the film story. He suits the role of a strict father. Tiku Talsania, Rajpal Yadav, Manoj Joshi are in their domain. Small comedy scenes from Rajpal Yadav is worth watching in the film.
Although, Shilpa Shetty Kundra is making a come back after decades, she is decent in her acting.

Whats Bad in Hungama 2 (2021)?
Meezan Jaffery’s sluggish screen presence, superfluous dialogue delivery ruins the movie. His casting in the film is a bit questionable. Even south actress Pranitha Subhash fares much better than Meezan. Pranitha is making debut in Hindi cinema(Bollywood).

Direction : Hungama 2 ( 2021) is directed by Priyadarshan. He tried to come back after staying away from film industry for 8 years. It seems, he ruined his own legacy (Hungama 1).

Confusion Comedy : High quality punch lines and one liners could not help the movie. Lead comedy actors like Rajpal Yadav, Paresh Rawal shares less screen time. Some one-liner jokes saved the legacy of Hungama series.

‘Hungama 2 (2021) should not be compared to Hungama 1 (2003). No effort is done on writing the screenplay of the movie. The movie diverts from the main storyline at several ocassions.’
