Vivek Agnihotri’s film The Kashmir Files is Bollywood Hindi Movie based on True events. The film is a testimony of the Kashmiri Pandits who had to run away from their own houses. Kashmiri Pandits were killed, raped, tortured on a mass scale during 1990s.

The trailer of the Kashmir Files was published on February 21, 2022. It was officially launched by Zee Studios youtube channel. Till now, the trailer has been watched more than 33 million times on youtube alone. Along with 1.4 million Likes, the film trailer has received massive respect from the crowd.
The trailer starts with a scene where a terrorist named Farooq Ahmad Dar (Bitta Karate) is being interrogated by an official. Bitta is accused of killing more than 25 innocent Kashmiri Pandits. Further, trailer continues and shows arrival of Krishna. Krishna is unaware of the holocaust that happened to his grand-parents, & his family. Further, a University female Professor is seen trying to persuade students to raise slogans of “Azadi”. “We will never allow Kashmir to be an integral part of India. Even if we have to start fires for it”-Radhika Menon. And Krishna falls trap to her words. Krishna starts to raise slogans that resulted in anti-national activities.
Storyline
The Kashmir Files (2022) is based on true story. The story of the film revolves around Krishna Pandit. He is a student of a Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in India. Krishna was told by his grand parents that his parents were killed in an accident, when he was child. But the truth seems to be more depressing. Krishna was manipulated by a JNU professor- Radhika Menon. Menon was a pro-Azadi character in the film who was a gaining a lot of support for her Kashmir issue. Since, Krishna was unaware of exodus of Kashmiri pandits, he falls trap by the words of Menon.
While Menon was persuading students for her Kashmir cause, on the other side, Pushkar Nath has been struggling to get justice. He and other victims of the genocide were struggling more than 30 years to get Justice.
The story of the film takes a turn when Krishna is asked to visit Kashmir once. Krishna goes back to Kashmir to fulfill his grand-father’s last wish. Back in Kashmir, he meets Nath’s four friends who were the eye-witness of the genocide in 1990. Nath’s friends are shocked that Krishna did not know the true story of his father’s death. So, they narrates the whole events to him.

Whats Good in The Kashmir Files (2022)?
Story: A film is best created when its story is appealing. As the movie is based on true events, it would definitely win hearts of many. At the same time, the story is a revival of the memory of those who had gone through this holocaust in their past.
Direction: The Tashkent Files director Vivek Agnihotri has improved a lot in the Film. The director has tried to capture each and every emotions that would have happened to the victims in that mass scale genocide.
Acting: From young actors to senior actors, every actors tried to put his hundred percent in their acting. Anupam Kher is playing as one of the victims of the genocide. The audience will definitely feel tears in their eyes, watching his character’s emotions.
Pallavi Joshi is portraying the role of Radhika Menon. She is portrayed negative in the film. You will definitely start to hate the character as you start to receive her intentions. This is Pallavi’s acting level that will make the audience to hate her character in the film, while praising her acting skills.
Cinematography: The movie has created fabulous piece of cinematography. Cinematographer Udaysingh Mohite needs to be praised for his fine work off the camera.
Whats Bad in The Kashmir Files (2022)?
Blood-shed: The film is filled with disturbing scenes. People needs to have strong heart to see those brutal rapes, killings, tortures.
Age Limit: Some scenes in the film needs Parents Guidance. Young audiences under restricted age needs Parental accompanying. Some scenes are disturbing to young viewers.
